Thoughts on Redecorating

I've mentioned before that I'm very indecisive on things and change my mind at the drop of a hat. My bedroom has fallen victim to this. I rarely keep the same [bedroom] decor for more than 2 years. I'm at it again. I've had this bedroom comforter/decor for almost two years and it is time for a change.

My current bedroom (some wall decor has been added since this was taken, but you get the idea).

I've loved looking at the design posts of some fellow bloggers, (Emily Clark, Hello Miss Chelsea, Little Miss Martha, & Centsational Girl just to name a few), and have been inspired by their design posts.

Let me preface by saying my whole house is in reds, greens, and browns. I'm just comfortable with those colors and do like them. With my current bedroom, I wanted some orange. But it is still in the same family as the rest of the house. And this time, I want to go all out. I love paint. I love different colors in different rooms. I'm just afraid to do it myself. I know I don't want to stay in my current house (but got a great deal on it, so I bought it). What if I make a mess? What if buyers hate the colors? All of these what if's run through my head and tell me to leave the boring beige on the walls. But this time, I think I'm going to do it.

I wasn't sure which route I wanted. I tried the eggplant color two  months ago, but the things I bought were just bland. They didn't mesh well together. Then my friend suggested one of my loves, and I knew I had to do it.

What do I want? Peacocks! I want a tealish/turquoise/blue walls with the peacock colors thrown in (golds, greens, blues, browns...).  I've been looking for throw pillows, bedding, colors, etc. I mean why not right?  If you have any ideas, products, or suggestions, please send them my way! I would love to know what you think or suggest!! Below are a few pictures I found that I liked when I googled "peacock decor." Again, please please let me know what you think.

Love feathers!!
I have to have this somewhere in the room!

Love this color, but I know I don't want to do the wall and bedding all in the same color. Maybe the wall this color?

So what do you think?
