OOTD and a Question

So, guys. I love seeing your Outfit Of The Day posts, so I thought I would do my own. I'm so nervous that you all will think this is completely dumb and stupid, especially since I think I dress so plain and boring.

I'm ready for your opinions (good or bad), so send them my way!

So I took this picture before church this past Sunday. I had just gotten the  tights and was anxious to wear them, since tights are brand new to me...and I was nervous how I would look in them. I wore this dress a lot this past summer. It's so comfy, and I love the color!

What do you think? Lame? Should I never do these again?

Question: How in the world do you take your pictures to post for the OOTD? I don't have anyone else in my house, so that's not an option. I used my phone (since my camera batteries were dead), so that explains the total crap quality. I also know for the future to not take the photo when there will be a big blob of glare in the picture. So how do you all take your photos? Please let me know.
