Tragedy

My heart is heavy today for people I don't even know. Our community and surrounding counties has seen its fair share of tragedies just this week alone.

An 18 year old from my town was celebrating his graduation with a party after festivities. His sister went to find him the next morning and found him unresponsive. He had gotten sometime that night and had asphyxiated. He passed a few days later.

A 20 year old boy drowned last night while swimming with friends. Story here.

A 22 year old woman from the county west of me was murdered earlier this week. She was 4 months pregnant. Story here.

And just this morning, a friend of some former co-workers went missing after a morning run with her sister. She was found later this morning, unfortunately not alive. Story here.

I'm heartbroken for the families involved. My family suffered a tragedy just two years ago, so I know how devastating it is for them. It's so hard to hear of things like this happening, especially close to home, and especially to someone that you are connected with in some way, even if I didn't personally know the victims. Please send up a prayer for them. Pray that they find some sort of peace in the face of these horrific circumstances.
