Miranda Kerr Shows Off Bikini Bod For Victoria's Secret

Aussie model Miranda Kerr gave onlookers an eyeful as she posed in a skimpy bikini for a Victoria's Secret promo.

The 26-year-old, who is presently dating British actor Orlando Bloom, hit the beach for the lingerie firm's sexy shoot in St Barths, France.

Kerr was said to have been in the equally bare company of her bikini-clad hair and make-up crew during the assignment, reports the Sun. The star was the first Australian addition to the Victoria's Secret campaign. She entered the fashion industry in her early teens after winning a 1997 Australian nationwide model search.

Paula Wallace accepts honor at FGI's Night of Stars Gala

Savannah College of Art and Design President Paula Wallace was presented with the Fashion Group International 2009 Sustainability Award on behalf of the university at FGI's star-studded 26th Annual Night of Stars Gala Thursday, Oct. 22, in New York City.

The Sustainability Award is in recognition of SCAD's position as a leader in sustainable practices, urban renewal and the adaptive reuse of historic properties. Vogue Editor-at-Large Andre Leon Talley, recipient of and namesake to SCAD's annual Andre Leon Talley Lifetime Achievement Award, presented the Sustainability Award to Wallace.

In his introduction, Talley praised Wallace for leading the conservancy of more than 100 historic buildings around the world, turning "this incredible university called SCAD a wonderland of recycled buildings."

In accepting the award for the university, Wallace thanked FGI for recognizing SCAD's commitment to sustainability. "We at SCAD believe there's really no difference between sustainable design and good design. It's the same thing. It's smart. It's compassionate. It's relevant. It's exalting. And it starts with young artists and designers like those at SCAD who are learning that responsible design isn't only about renewable materials. It's about renewing ourselves."

Wallace was escorted down the red carpet by Golden Globe nominee Emmy Rossum ("The Phantom of the Opera"). Rossum will be honored at the Savannah Film Festival, which is sponsored by SCAD, Nov. 2 with the Young Hollywood Award prior to the screening of her film, "Dare." Joining Wallace and Rossum at the FGI table were Talley, fashion designer Angel Sanchez and interior designer Miles Redd, among others.

Stephenie Meyer is my role model... I love Twilight!

Now let me tell you why. She does not write very well. Her descriptions and imagery are poor, the plot has some clear faults, and it is not very well edited. But none of that matters. What Stephenie Meyer has given us is a four book saga that is incredible regardless. It is predictable from beginning to end. Time and time again she will use the same words to describe the scene. At the end of the day though, it is still my favorite book. And this is why she is my role model. It doesn’t matter to millions of people that the book is not well written. Many people have read it... And everyone loves it. Tell someone to read Twilight and then describe briefly the plot -- you will find many skeptics. Have them actually read it and they will undoubtedly fall in love. I can’t describe it really. It is not well written, yet still Twilight is the only book I have ever read three times! Seriously. When my little sister told me to read Twilight a year and a half ago I wasn’t sure it was for me. I figured I was too old to enjoy it. Nonetheless, as the movie was to come out that Thanksgiving I read it. By chapter 3 there was no going back. My literary world was changed forever. Stephenie Meyer proved with Twilight that it doesn’t really take writing talent to create a good book, it merely takes an amazing story! Now I would not claim myself an exceptionally good writer. My grammar is extremely poor and I do not have an extensively large vocabulary. However, I have an urge to write. I want to write a book -- yes it will be incredibly hard to gain Stephenie Meyer status. It is perhaps non-achievable, however I am going to attempt it. Since I was little I have had an overactive imagination. Everything is a story in my mind. Everyone I meet immediately is given a story to their life. And my life, well it is spent half in real life and half in fantasy. Thus, I am going to write a book. I am going to take the imagination I have and write a novel. It perhaps will be poorly written, but as Twilight has proven, story will always win!
