Arsenal will sign 17-year-old Japanese midfielder Ryo Miyaichi subject to obtaining a work permit for the youngster.
Gunner boss Arsene Wenger admits that the club needs to participate more in the Asian market.
However, the Frenchman - who was manager of Nagoya Grampus Eight in Japan before taking over at Arsenal - discussed the difficulties involved in such transactions.
"For us, it’s very important that Asia is represented at our club,” said Wenger, according to The Mirror.
“The problem we have in England at the moment is that we have difficulties to bring in the non-EU players before they are internationals, so it makes the work for the young players very difficult, but we try to bring them in here.”
