Combustible Celluloid: The Weekly Newsletter of the Online Film Magazine - April 27, 2012

Well... I had another week wherein I was busy and away from my desk pretty much all day Thursday and Friday, so once again the website is getting updated and the newsletter is going out over the weekend. But better late than never! I filed a lengthy story about the casting of superheroes for Movies.com and Fandango this week, but I don't think it's posted yet. I also started my new column, which will be called "Now Streaming," and will be appearing on a brand new blog, The Tech Hive, which is published by the good folks behind MacWorld magazine (see below for the link). And then I saw Marvel's The Avengers, about which I don't think I'm allowed to say anything, but has a good shot of being the movie of the summer. I'm doing a lot of interviews of filmmakers who have come to town for the San Francisco International Film Festival, which continues this week. Finally, I did a couple of guest lectures at the Academy of Art University, which is always a pleasure. With all that, I will see you again next week.
