Russia have fended off strong competition from England and a joint campaign from Portugal/Spain and Belgium/Netherlands to host the 2018 World Cup.
Middle eastern country Qatar will host the 2022 World Cup, beating off strong competition from the United States, Australia, Japan and South Korea.
England will not be able to hold the World Cup untill 2030 at the earliest.
