After spending three weeks reading The Vampire Academy it is time to move on to something else. And the ending comes at the perfect time, because the next couple of weeks celebrate the release of a multitude of great books.
The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
I don't know much about this book except for the rave reviews that I have been hearing for the past six months.
Mara Dyer doesn't think life can get any stranger than waking up in a hospital with no memory of how she got there.

Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins
I am so excited for this book. After finally reading Stephanie's first book Anna and The French Kiss, I am beyond convinced of her writing talent. She crafts the most adorable and believable characters, drawing you in from page one. And I've heard that the next book is just as good if not better. It is not a sequel but I encourage everyone to read both.

This book doesn't come out until November, but it deserves to be on the list anyway. It is the sequel to last year's Matched. It is the story of Cassia, a young girl who lives in a dystopian society where life is perfectly controlled by the government.
