Mean

I got my first mean comment this past weekend. It was rude, incredibly mean, insulting, and hurtful. The commenter, who was also conveniently Anonymous, had the intention of hurting me.

As I read it, I know my jaw hit the ground. I was in shock. How in the world could this person, who knows nothing about me, write something so hateful and hurtful? Then I got upset. I swear, I cried and cried. I deleted the post immediately. Then I thought about deleting my whole blog. The more I thought about it, the angrier I got.

Now? I'm over it. Thanks to some awesome blog/twitter friends that lifted me up when this Anonymous commenter got me down. Yes, it brought out some evil spirited people, but look what it also brought me. Friends that I never would have met otherwise.

So, Anonymous commenter, you didn't have the guts to leave your name. And that's ok. Your words mean nothing to me.  But to the people that leave positive comments and are truly good people, I thank you. You make this little ole blog worthwhile! :)
