See How Cool You Are Then

On my way to my session yesterday afternoon, I stopped by the university bookstore. Sidenote: I LOVE the bookstore. I could browse that store all day long. I want to buy every single item in there.....ahhhh.

Anywho- as I made my way to the bookstore upstairs, I had to go through the main campus hub, DUC. It's the place where the students eat, hang out, do homework, sleep on couches, etc. The place was, as usual, full. Full of turned up noses, cocky, rude, college students. I wanted to punch them. Most of them walked around like they were the god/goddess of WKU. Really?  What makes college students think they are so superior to the outside world?

I wanted to scream, "What's with the attitude?" Maybe it's because they are away from home for the first time ever. Maybe it's because they can drink alcohol now.....Ooooh, go you! Maybe it's because their parents pay for the over-priced name brand stuff....whatever it is....lose the attitude, kids! I wasn't sure if I should be sickened by the snotty behavior or just laugh.

Just wait until you are out in the real world, 20,000+ dollars in debt, in a crummy entry-level job (if you are lucky to get a job).....see how cool you are then, asshole!
