Weekend Wrap-Up

Good Monday morning, ladies! I hope each and every one of you had a fabulous weekend; I sure did! I haven't done a wrap-up in awhile, so let me catch you up...
    Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters
  • I ordered this super cute shirt last weekend to celebrate what we thought would  be an awesome SEC tournament won by my Cats. Since it was the first day of play for Kentucky, I sported this on Friday.
  • After work, I headed to BG to get in my weekly catch up sesh with my bff, Meg.
  • We had the best drinks and apps at O'Charleys.
  • A little trip to Target (of course), and I left with these super hot shoes. When will I ever them? Who knows. Did I mention the fact that I rarely wear heels? Oh, who cares? They are so cute, and only $20 so I had to get them, right?
  • We ran to a few more places and then back to her house so she could get back to her sweet kiddos.
  • Look at those chubby cheeks. Love.
  • Saturday, my Mom called and said she was keeping the sweetest little boy that day, so I headed over to see him and watch the Cats play in the third round of the tourney.
  • I came home later, and ended up sleeping a few hours that afternoon. Oops.
  • The Cats played again Sunday morning, so my other bff came over to watch. As I'm sure you've heard, the Cats played like shiznit all three days, and they ended up losing in the final. As much as I love the Cats and was absolutely pissed that they lost, they just didn't show up in Nawlins like they should have. Grrrr.
  • To drown our sorrows, Whit and I headed to BG to do a little shopping and eating.
  • I wanted to hit up Kohls since I didn't on Friday. Fortunately (for my sanity) and unfortunately (for my wallet), I found some cute things to purchase.
Navy and white dress with beaded neck.

The beading is what sold me.

Striped, hooded cardi. Love this. This one is gray and white.

And this one is navy and gray. Of course I had to get both.

And since I'm going to be an aunt in June, I grab up everything I can that says something about "aunt" on them.
  • Ran around town a little more until we decided to hit up the mall.
  • I found these cuh-ute shoes at Payless. I had wanted them a few weeks ago, but held off. Glad I did because they were half off! Holla!
  • These are the prettiest smoky navy blue.
  • Then I found this dress at Old Navy. I got some denim capris too, for only $12 bucks.
  • This is a tan and white stripe. Apparently I'm on a stripe kick today. I have a feeling I will wear this lots this summer.
  • We finally deaded to get some grub at Buffalo Wild Wings. I love that place!
  • As usual, we jammed out to some rap on the way home. You all have got to see my playlist. Totally not what you would expect from this girl, but we were hoppin. Maybe I'll share that tomorrow!
What did you all get into this weekend? Hopefully you didn't spend as much moolah as me....but I needed it. Really.

Weekend Haul #2

I had a great Saturday shopping with my mom and sister. It's rare that all 3 of us get to go out, just us girls, and I absolutely love it!

While I didn't buy as much this weekend, what I did buy was just what I was looking for!

I especially wanted to go to get some moisturizer that I'd heard all about! Philosophy's Hope in a Jar. I'd heard so many great things about it, and had to try it out for myself. I'm making a real effort to take better care of my skin, and I heard this was a great start! I was a little hesitant to buy it after I saw the $39 price tag, but I made the leap and got in line.

I used it last night, this morning, and tonight, and I must say that my skin is SO soft! Can it really work that fast? It does say that "...miracles can occur," so maybe one did! However...and this is a HUGE however, it stinks! I mean the smell is horrendous! I hope that I can get past the God-awful scent.

I've been trying to add more color to my living room, so I bought two more pillows to add to my couch. Love this color!

We also had to stop at Target, duh! I just had to buy another pair of the Mossimo juniors crop leggings. Y'all, these are SO comfy, and at only $8 I had to get a second pair. I slept in these every single night last week and hated changing out of them the next morning. Love them!

Did you buy anything fabulous this weekend?

Weekend Haul

After the game on Saturday, which I slept through half of, I went shopping. This was much needed, because the week before I found absolutely nothing! I always love seeing what other people get, so I thought I would share my haul, along with where I bought the item and how much it costs. I like having that information when I read, so I put it on here.

 1. I bought these nude shoes a few weeks ago, but decided today to keep them. Everyone needs a pair of nude heels, right?
2 & 3. I got these at Payless during BOGO. I've been wanting some black wedges like this, and had to get the animal print ones after I tried them on. Note: they look SO much cuter in person!
4. I've needed some new house shoes for awhile, because I'm old, and these were on clearance. Honestly, I may wear them out of the house because they look so much like moccasins.

1 & 3. On my list of things to purchase are scarves, specifically brights and patterns. I picked up the first scarf, which is more coral than the picture looks, from Target. The one from Charlotte Russe has the cutest colors and pattern.
2. The watch in the middle was on clearance, and I loved the turquoise color, but after I got it home and tried it on, I'm just not a fan. That will be returned.

1. While LC gets on my nerves a little bit, the girl does have some fashion sense. You can't deny that. I've been wanting this book for some time, and finally broke down and bought it.
2. Love this saying, so I had to get it to go with my new book.
3. I've been wanting a desk calendar, but wanted to wait until they go on clearance, cause they always do. I've read about The Happiness Project, and anything that reminds me to stay positive and be happy is a plus! AND it was 75% off. Score!

There were some things that I saw that I loved, but homegirl had to draw the line somewhere. Maybe next week. ;)

Need Gift Ideas?

Are you a procrastinator? Still have some Christmas presents to buy? I've taken it upon myself to help out all of you crazies out there that still have some shopping to do before this weekend! Apparently, many of my bloggy friends like to wait until the last minute to get it done.

Here are a few items that I would love to receive (so I'm sure your recipients would as well). These can be bought in a store and are great ideas for the gal on your list!
               *********************************************

I love Tervis Tumblers and they have so many cute designs. I would love to see this one addressed to moi!

This movie is such a good chick flick (but the guys secretly like it too). If you feel extra spendy, buy the book to go with it!

Oh my...y'all this would be the best gift. I'd already finished shopping for my sister before she decided she liked these. Otherwise, I would have bought them and she would have been ecstatic to find them under the tree. Maybe for her birthday!

Is your gift recipient into a certain tv show? I think tv on dvd is a fantastic gift. Most of the time we want to own these, but rarely buy them for ourselves!

If your girl is a girly girl and likes to stay in the know of fashion, this would be such a good idea. While I'm not a huge LC fan, the girl does have style. I'm dying for this read.

This is the ultimate go-to gift item. I mean really, who doesn't like a cute scarf?

You can never have too many candles. This one, Woodwick in Cherries Jubilee, just happens to be my favorite. Again, I normally don't buy myself candles, so I would love getting this!

Finally, you can't go wrong with some cute jewelry. How cute would these be with a little red bow?

Hope this has given you a few ideas. And if you have already finished your Christmas shopping, buy a little something for yourself....or me!

Happy holidays, ladies!

Check this out!

You know I've been obsessed with discount sites lately. I've bought a La Mer watch, leather wrap bracelets, and an Erin Condren planner: all for half off because of these sites!

Yesterday, I received my daily email from One King's Lane. I was so excited to see these stamps on there for half of what they normally are.

The company, Three Designing Women, are offering these for only $19 instead of the usual $40. I also love that not only can you get an address stamp, but you can do one with just your name, "from the desk of...", and lots of other options too.

I had already purchased one for my mom for this Christmas, but I went on and purchased 2 more for future gifts. They are perfect gifts, I think. Not the normal picture frame, candle, or whatever I tend to give when I can't find anything else. I love personalized gifts, so these are great!

Go here to check them out, and get one for a gift or for yourself!

A few more wishlist items...

I must be greedy, because I've found a few more things I want for Christmas! You ready? Take note!
A monogrammed scarf in KY blue! I need to be prepared for game days, y'all!
I love everything that Marley Lilly has to offer, but these crossbody bags may just be my favorite. I'm dying for the brown one, with my monogram, of course!

This color is fantastic, so fun and cheerful! And look how comfy these Ugg slippers look.

I'm loving big sweaters these days, and this is perfect!

Obviously I'm on this fuschia/purple kick. So fun.
This Tory Burch clutch would come in handy!

You can't beat a nice pair of flats, and this color is great with everything!

I'm loving tights and leggings now, (who woulda thunk it?), and these are so festive!

How cute and feminine is this gray bag with the bow?

Sequins! I can't get enough of sequins and this Coach purse is amazing!

I love all things infinity, and how cute is this gold rhinestone one?

So what do you think about my list? Yeah, some items may be a little pricey, but I think wishlists can hold anything. It's called a WISHlist for a reason, right!

Turkey Day & Black Friday

Hey, ladies! How was your weekend? Not to sound like I have a turkey up my butt, but I'm so glad Thanksgiving is over! It always feels like such a hassle and a crazy amount of stress for a 30 minute meal!

I found a link to this Keep Calm printable from Shasta Anne's blog!
I woke up Thursday, cleaned the house, and prepared to cook the sides for our Thanksgiving meal. My mom always cooks, but since they are in the process of moving, I helped out and had the meal at my house. She cooked the turkey and dressing, and I made everything else. My sister brought my favorite dessert in the entire world, Chocolate Delight.

Some of the grub on the table.
Let's just say that while most of the meal was yummy, we had a few disasters along the way. the peas boiled over, a glass bowl broke, the mashed potatoes were cold (despite being put in the oven for even longer to warm up), my deviled eggs looked horrendous (my first attempt), but all in all, we had a nice afternoon together. I know I complain, but I'm so thankful for my family and how close we are!

My little sis, Trisha
After lounging for a little bit, I picked up my friend, Whitney, and we headed to Walmart to brave the crowds (actually to elbow our way to the deals). It was my first black Thursday/Friday experience, and I would consider it a success! I went for the $10 crockpot, and although it was gone by 9:15, I did score some other deals: a wireless all in one printer for $40, a Bissell 3 in 1 vac for $8.95, a mattress cover for $30 (which will be returned), some dvd's, and a larger crockpot for only $20.

The next day, I had a therapy session (which sucked), but it was only 3 hours long, so I spent the rest of the day shopping for some more black Friday deals. Again, all for myself! I went back to BG on Saturday to watch the WKU football game against Troy. It was an awesome game. (My Cats played against TN Saturday, and finally ended the 26 year losing streak! Go CATS!) We did a little bit more shopping, but I didn't do near as much damage on Sat than I did the other two days.

All-in-all, it was a successful weekend. Did you find any good deals? Please fill me in!

Today is Cyber Monday. Do you know of any good deals? Again, please let me know!

HauteLook Scores

When Molly tweeted about a great deal she had found at Ideeli, I knew immediately that I needed to sign up for these websites. I asked around, signed up for several, and have been getting the deals emailed to me every single morning. HauteLook had an awesome sale yesterday on some bracelets, and I scored them for half off. I couldn't be more excited to get them in the mail!

Here's what I ordered, and they were only $12.50 each!!

I can't wait to wear these layered. Won't they look awesome?

Here are a few more bracelets that I would have bought if funds were unlimited.
