If you knew me, you'd know that I certainly don't look like the "tattoo type." I'm sure when the tattoo artist see me coming, they are wondering what the hell I'm doing on their lot. Despite my goody-two-shoes look, I love tattoos. Yes, I believe there is a fine line between classy and trashy when it comes to them, but I still love them. They are so addicting! My tattoos are small and girly, but bygolly, they are still tats. Ink people. I'm tough!
Without further adeiu, here are my tattoos....(eek that rhymed! I'm a poet and didn't know it!)Sorry for the grainy and foggy photos. I had to take them with my phone this morning in a rush.
#1. Heart
I got this one when I was like 23. I was so scared! I wanted something super simple and on the inside of my foot. My mom and sister went back the next week to get the same tattoo, so we all have matching ones, which I think is neat.#2. Tramp Stamp
I'm not sure where this one came from.We were having girls night at my house, and I jumped up and said, "I want another tattoo." Three of us went under the knife needle that night. I had a sheet of fake tattoos (I'd had them since 8th grade. I have always wanted one....), and I kept going back to this design. Where else to put it when you are 24 than on your lower back.
This is the only one I regret. It looks nothing like the picture I gave them. Really disappointed with this one, but it's there...and at least it's hidden. #3. M is for Marvelous, Magnificent
Another night with another set of girls led to this tattoo. We'd been talking about getting our initials, so on the foot they went. This one is my absolute favorite. The bottom loop of the M is faded, and I need to get that taken care of asap.
#4. Cross
I'd been wanting a tattoo on my wrist for some time, but it just would not be acceptable in the teaching field. So, when I decided to stay at my Dad's company that I would go for it. While in BG, I decided to take the leap. I love that this one isn't centered, but is on the side more. It's still scabbed over, but it's not really as "sharp" as I'd like for it to be. I think I wanted sharper corners instead of looking like a marker. What do you think? With all of my tattoos, it was kind of sudden. I would look for about 2 days and then do it (but thinking about it for quite some time). I'm also super scared of needles. Like I get nauseous just thinking about them, so I think it's weird that I've had 4.
Do you have tattoos? What do you think of mine?
