1. If someone asks you how you are doing, asks about life, ect., it's polite to return the favor and ask about them. When you say fine and end the conversation, it's rude. Even if you don't care, be nice and ask anyway.
2. On the other hand, if someone asks how you are doing, don't go into a ten minute lecture about what's wrong with your life and why you are miserable. Unless it's a best friend or someone you normally confide it, most people don't care and are just asking to be polite. If it's the worst day of your life, lie and say fine.
3. If you go into an office, don't go around the desk or just walk into offices. It's extremely rude. There is a desk for a reason. Stay in front of it. Personal space, people! Stay out of my bubble! Also, don't move the stuff on my desk so you have room to set your purse or folders on. I have stuff where I want it. Also, don't just pick up my stuff to look at it. It's my desk, not a free for all!
4. Ask before you just barge into someone's office. Especially if the lady in the front office says the person is with someone or on the phone or not in there. I told you that for a reason. Don't peek around the corner to see if I'm lying or just run in there and wait. It's not your office, so wait. I'm there for a reason!
5. If someone is on the phone, don't hang out in their office waiting for them to get off. Maybe it's personal. Even if it's business, it's probably not your business, so wait in the lobby. Or if someone else is in there, wait until they leave before you barge in. Geez, people, get a clue!
6. If I, or anyone else, is on the phone, wait until they get off before speaking. I hate when I'm on the phone and someone just starts blabbing. Hello. Does the phone up to my ear not tell you that I'm with someone else? Wait your turn.
7. Do not, under any circumstances, ask about something I said while on the phone or talking with another person. I was on the phone with a customer and when I got off, one of our advertisers started asking me questions about what I was talking about. Yes, you are sitting in the same office, but at least pretend you aren't listening.
8. If I tell you something, don't turn around and ask someone the same question. Do you not think that I know what I'm talking about? Don't be a jerk.
Ok. I'm finished venting for now. I think I have covered everything that's happened lately that got to me. What do people do that get on your nerves?
